FLORENCE 

Accommodation is the historic Casa Santo Nome di Gesu,  a 14th Century monastery located in the centre of Florence.  We’re just a five-minute walk from the Uffizi and the Ponte Vecchio.  Single and double/twin occupancy available.

We’ll visit some of the most significant art and museum collections in Italy – including the Duomo, Accademia, Uffizi, Boboli Gardens, the Pitti Palace, and the gallery of Modern Art – absorbing all that Florence has to offer, including the wonderful food and wine!

We’ll be sketching along the way, with one-to-one tuition from Allison and Mike.

BARGA

Breathtaking views and stunning sunsets await in the spectacular mountainous setting of Barga.  A town with a fascinating history, and rich and varied culture.

We’ll spend five nights at Quattro Archi, in the centre of the Old Town of Barga.  Again, single and double/twin occupancy is available.  A well-equipped studio will provide our creative workspace and we’ll enjoy the spectacular mountain views from the beautiful large sun terrace.

Each day there will be tutored art sessions in the studio, exploring all of the inspiration we’ve gathered from our time in Florence.  Also plenty of free time to sketch and explore Barga. There are numerous excellent restaurants nearby and you’ll have access to kitchen facilities, with breakfast provided each day.

Non-artist spouses or friends are very welcome;  information on walks and excursions in and around our location can be provided.

COST AND TRAVEL 

• £1850 per person in twin or double accommodation or 
• £2250 per person for single occupancy

Included in the trip:

• Return private transfers from Pisa airport to our accommodation in Florence
• Train transfers from Florence to Barga 
• Private transfer from Barga to Pisa airport

Our best option is to fly as a group from Edinburgh to Pisa (direct) with RyanAir. Flights are currently around £220 return per person and these should be booked independently. At present we’re just taking note of interest, so PLEASE DO NOT book your flights until we’ve confirmed your booking. To secure your place we require a deposit of £400pp by 17 March.
